Organising Committee

The conference is governed by a seven-member organising committee drawn from the Graduate Centre for Management at CPUT and its Community Tourism Organisation partner. Each role carries a defined remit and reporting line to the Conference Chair.

    Overall leadership and accountability for the conference, its academic integrity and its stakeholder relationships.

    Programme Director

    Curates the three-day programme, keynote line-up, panels and track structure, and manages speaker invitations.

    Community Tourism Lead

    Held by

    Represents community and SMME participants, coordinates the CTO partnership and safeguards local benefit.

    Government & Policy Liaison

    Held by

    Manages engagement with national and provincial government, funders and the policy-brief workstream.

    Business Events & Logistics Manager

    Held by

    Runs venue, travel, accommodation, delegate services and on-site operations across the three days.

  6. 06

    Finance and Compliance Officer

    Held by

    To be confirmed

    Oversees budget, registration income, procurement and compliance with institutional and funder requirements.

    Research and Reporting Coordinator

    Captures conference outputs and produces the post-conference stakeholder and impact report.
